Will She Won't She Will She Won't

Ah Mrs Billings you are keeping us on our toes. We all have a dead line to meet. As Meredithe quite rightly says Will She Won't She, my decision has been made. You will be pleased to know I will not be putting  a slab of fabric around the center section of my Mrs Billings. But I have found this treasure in my fabric library. It is a large scale floral print from Moda called Dominique by Sentimental Studios, the blue green background is a great match with the French General fabric I have already used. There is 4 metres in the
peice must have bought it as a backing fabric but it works so much better this way.

And yes I have cut all the fabric and started sewing, so now a few more hours at the sewing machine and hopefully very soon a finnished Mrs Billings. Maybe Mrs Billings cousin or daughter as she is a bit differant from Karen's beautiful quilt.

A Mixed Bag

Its been a while because so much has been happening around here. We bought a new car a real treat for us. It has taken up some much of my time. Going for long drives in the country, then having to wash and polish it after, I really cannot believe its in our garage. We found these Canadian Maples at a plant nursery in Silvan their colour was just amazing.

Now our eldest daughter and son have bought a house together so they will both be moving out of home and YES thats right I will be able to choose which bedroom I want for a sewing room.Yes I will miss them but just think my own room. No more having to move projects from room to room or packing my sewing away just because its tea time and we need the kitchen table. I have managed to put another round on Mrs Billings, not to sure where she will go from here. More borders or maybe a nice big slab of fabric and chicken out now.
