An Moonen at Somerset

Today we were lucky to have An Moonen visit us at  Somerset Patchwork. An has been here in Australia and New Zealand on a speaking tour.We had a group of ladies in the shop to have their copies of An"s book The History of Dutch Antique Quilts signed. Tomorrow I will have the unique opportunity to hear An speak about the long tradition of quilting in the Netherlands.Today I got to show An my small quilt top that I was inspired to make after reading her beautiful book.

Poor An looks a bit worried she has just signed my quilt.

This is a quilt I made last year called Barrington Court where I have used the same centre block.

Happy Sewing
